B.A.R.K. (Better Awareness for Rescue K-9's, Inc.) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public with looking at rescue canines as a viable option for a family pet as well as helping the canine move away from the institutional setting it came from and integrating them into the family home and community.

B.A.R.K. helps educate the general public on the how's and why's of adopting a rescue/shelter dog(s). B.A.R.K. provides educational information to the interested public about the importance of canine training classes, responsible breeding, spay/neutering, proper care/welfare for their animals, how to increase the human and canine bond, the humane care for their dogs and to promote good canine citizenship. B.A.R.K. provides resources to various reputable licensed Rescue/Animal Shelter organizations, Animal Control Facilities and other such institutions, along with providing adopters’ resources to trainers to help keep their rescued dogs in their adoptive forever homes.

B.A.R.K focuses on educating the general public about the great opportunity of adoptingcs on canine behavior, choosing a rescue canine, fostering a rescue canine, working with a canine rescue, and planning for the addition of a dog into the home. Educational materials will co a rescue canine through: Community events such as pet trade shows, local adoption day events, festivals, various media outlets, dog show booths, and other animal related events. Seminars will cover but are not limited to; topiver but not limited to; spay/neuter information, various dog training classes, foster home information, necessary supplies for your newly adopted rescue canine, etc. Counseling will involve but is not limited to; discussion from professionals in the canine industry and to the humans who have or are thinking about adopting or fostering a rescue canine, evaluate the humans’ needs and wants for adopting or fostering a canine, possible behaviors to expect and how to troubleshoot these behaviors, discuss the importance of attending dog training classes, regular veterinarian health check-ups and vaccinations, etc.
